UK market development strategy for US construction-tech start-up

The Challenge

ALICE Technologies, a well-established construction-tech start-up based in Silicon Valley, wanted to expand its market reach into the UK. (The company has developed a system that optimises P6 programmes using evolutionary algorithms).

The Solution

Priestland Consulting has been working with ALICE Technologies for several years, supporting business development and sales in the UK, especially in the infrastructure sector.

The Outcome

ALICE Technologies is now an established provider of technology services to a number of UK clients. In October 2022, the company won the Innovation Award (along with the Align JV for HS2) at the British Construction Industry Awards. The Align team ran a pilot with ALICE to test their programme for the viaduct substructure and look for improvements. In six weeks, they managed to replicate three years of planning work.

what the client said

Rene Morkos, Founder and CEO of ALICE Technologies said: “PCL’s guidance has helped us develop a solid strategy and the right relationships. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to get a good understanding and navigate the construction sector.”
